It’s on the eve of a new season that I begin the next chapter in the story of the Ligue Fédérale des As. I hope those among you who are curious enough to check out these pages are having a great summer, that you are tending to your injuries and are taking advantage of the warm season.

The LFA takes no vacations, and we’ve been working hard to make sure everything is in place for the second season, and to make sure you benefit from being part of a league that is set apart from all others. Not just to be different, but to be better.

Rigour and attention to details are rare in the era we are living in, and your league executive do not fear the work and challenges ahead. We must not be afraid to look destiny in the eye and drive forward. Only we can accomplish our dreams, but, as the song says, “with a little help from my friends.”

That’s why I invite you to invest a little time in your hobby and your sport, your passion, your league. The workload running a league like ours is considerable, and with the expansion to six teams this season we will face logistical, financial and human resource hurdles like never before. It’s vital that more people participate in the league to guarantee the viability of our Saturday encounters, so we can keep living this ultimate hockey adventure.

The list is long. A lot of work remains to be done before the ceremonial puck drop. Whether it is to contribute to this site as a budding journalist, graphic artist or photographer, or to play a greater role in the various committees, whether it be selection, discipline, 50/50 or anything else. Let us know. We welcome any and all input.

Please keep consulting  our homepage, the LFA News section and your email inbox for all the latest developments on the start of the season and all year long to take advantage of the optimal hockey experience the LFA offers.

Have a great season!
