Saturday, May 3rd, was the biggest day of the year in la Ligue Fédérale des As with the Défi LFA, our benefit tournament for Sun Youth, and our Grand Final to crown the champions of our Central Division. Our most prestigious program, composed of 12 teams in two distinct conferences, saw the Sputnik take top honors and put their hands on one of the finest trophies in the hockey world, created internally like everything else that comes out of the LFA.
The fans in attendance were treated to a great championship game and dazzling performances from some players, including Sputnik goaltender Carol Corcilan and Vincent Carbonneau, who scored a hat trick.
In short, a season finale just the way we like it, with two teams delivering the goods in the most important game of the season. Thank you to all the players who took part in the 2024-2025 season and to those who are about to start their summer season with us in a few days. We say PLAY TO PLAY!!! (Photo JFD)
