After a period of six weeks in which we have missed not one, not two but three weeks of activities, we start up the engines for good with our eyes of the playoffs! And yes, just like life, the season passes quickly and we must already prepare for the series that will begin in a month in the Central Division with a different approach this season in the satellite division.

Certainly, in the last five years, we have put together several championship games and events like the first Winter Classic in the city’s history, but never a tournament. As a reminder of our humble beginning as a 4 team league, again four teams faced each other in the 3-on-3 LFA RUSH, located at Excellent Ice in Kirkland. For those who do not know the place, it is composed of three reduced ice surfaces that allow another approach to the game. We had a real passionate group of guys for this premiere day, which gave way to exciting, relentless games with several spectacular plays and saves.

With more and more members and offers of days and divisions in which to play, the LFA must settle registrations before signing agreements with our various suppliers including the arenas. All seasons must be prepared well in advance for things to go well. It was while reading an article about a company celebrating its 10th anniversary that I realized that 2017 had come and gone without us celebrating the 5th anniversary of La Ligue Fédéral des As. It shows that I do not have any children or a girlfriend to remind me of these kind of things. The league was founded in December 2012 but we are still in our fifth season of operation having started in September 2013 so we can still blow the candles and call a party !!". Without having a specific birthday date besides that of the creation of the league or its first game let's say it would be cool if everyone showed up for our grand final of May to highlight the path traveled by the LFA and finish our season in style.
