BECAUSE THERE IS ALWAYS ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT

With the changes under way in La Ligue Fédérale des As after five years of operation and trial and error, the league’s administration wants to continue its reflection before applying the next milestones that will determine the direction to take. To do this, in continuum with an approach begun a few years ago through various polls and unlike last year where the CEO of the league met individually with each regular member of the association, we would like the members of the 2017-2018 edition of the LFA to fill out a short questionnaire to help us make the right decisions. Substitute players are also invited to participate. Follow this link if you wish to express yourself and do not hesitate to be critical while submitting your vision and ideas because there is always room for improvement even when you are on top of the game.

CROWNING OF CHAMPIONS TUESDAY, APRIL 3rd

First of all the administration of the LFA wishes to  congratulate the Rhinos on a great season up until now and their record setting championship. As is the tradition, each season we crown our regular season champions and winners of the TREMBLAY Trophy. Following an incredible story last year when the beer barrel that is part of the trophy was stolen near the McCarold's pub where it was resting in a snow bank to stay cold, we will repeat the story this season with “barrel guards” to make sure history does not repeat itself. I invite those who are not aware and would like to know more about this page of our history to consult the article written by Laurent aka "Larry" Quesnel on March 21, 2017. Here is the link. Last year the crowning of the champs took place following the championship game that was needed to determine a winner between the Avengers who eventually won and the Rhinos who never recovered if we rely on their run in the playoffs. This event, where all the members of the league from both divisions are invited will take place either at the McCarold's pub or at La Cabane depending on the number of confirmed participants NEXT TUESDAY APRIL 3RD at 7:00 pm. This to celebrate the achievement of the Pro-Jet Demolition Rhinos and for us to all get together before the start of the real season. Please reserve your spot with the LFA's administration by Tuesday, March 27th.  The Habs will be on tv for those who are interested.

Note that the reasons behind events such as this one, post-game get-togethers, bbqs, tournaments and other activities suggested by the league 12 months a year are to in-power your lives, expand your circles of friends, create a level of healthy competition on the ice and to mark time with imperishable memories that only a well fulfilled and lived life can create. Respect is earned and friendship is cultivated, thease are some of the essential elements to live an optimal hockey experience both on and off the ice.

NEW GOAL PEGS HAVE ARRIVED!

After several months of constant pressure and demands towards the college, the LFA has made its point and we can now count on state of the art PIRANHA goal pegs. This will hopefully allow us to play without the repeated interruptions we suffer too often due to poorly fixed nets. Be sure that the league’s administration will not stop there and continue to advocate for improvements to all the arena's facilities.

STILL A FEW POST-GAME GET TOGETHERS BEFORE THE END OF THE SEASON

One of the contract clauses that you all signed in the Central Division at the beginning of the season stipulated that you must take part in a minimum of 25% of the social activities of the league (% established following individual consultations with each member of the 2016-2017 edition of the LFA) to ensure a friendly atmosphere on the ice. You are all invited to the post-game get together that will take place this week at one of our oldest partners and sponsors, La Cabane du Portugal where, as the name mentions, you will not eat sushi. As for the comments that "it's too far" I say "come on"!. It is 10 minutes from the arena and the food is excellent! Open your mind and try new things buddy, the planet is big, your city too! By the way, is this considered negative?! Or is it just saying things as they are? And those who simply do not want to spend time with the other guys in the league outside of the arena: It's all good, do as you wish, the administration of the LFA will have done what it can during the last five years to offer you a healthy and rich platform in which to play. This vision of life is not given to everyone. Everyone has its own reality.
